I still regret the day I called up these people to shift my house(Bangalore). I had called up these people based on recommendation from one of their ex-employees who I had met near my new house.
While they presented a very professional face initially, they quoted almost 50% more than the quotation by other packers and movers. When I asked them, they repeatedly assured me that they would take good care of my items during shifting and I will be their customer forever. I agreed because I wanted to go with a reputed company and also knew that not many people are interested in shifting to second floor without lift.
On the day of shifting, they again showed a very nice image. Neatly dressed people, sufficient number of plastic cartons, good packaging materials, etc. They quickly packed everything and brought it to new house. At that point, I realized that they had wrongly estimated bigger size truck(and that's another reason to ask for more charges).
After reaching here, the staff started complaining about lack of lift. When I told them that due to lack of lift I had agreed to pay more, they started complaining even more.
After shifting the boxes and quickly unpacking, I noticed that the truck still had 2-3 boxes. When I asked their Driver-cum-Supervisor, he told me that these are empty boxes(and also showed me one of the empty boxes).
As most of you must be familiar, when you shift to a new house, for first few days, you really struggle to find items(and slowly discover them over a period of 1-2 months). Around a month later, we realized that one small, emergency gas stove(stove and small cylinder) and some vessels were missing. We thoroughly checked the house but couldn't find the items anywhere.
When I called up their office, the lady who was very professional during our first interaction turned hostile and started blaming me. She said that she had never heard of people complaining after 1-2 months of shifting. I was shocked but still sent them a mail asking them to investigate. Despite several follow ups, these people kept denying any wrongdoing from their side.
I have decided not to follow up any further. I could have gone ahead and filed a case against these people but the problem is that we didn't document a detailed inventory prior to shifting(no one suspects packers and movers to be tricksters and frauds, that they will cheat you right in front of your eyes).
Stay away from these people as these people are petty thieves. They will not even acknowledge any mistake and will overcharge you.
