Hi, I'm debraj from calcutta(now Kolkata!). I've a RX100 black of 1990 model, purchased it in 1998 second hand in B'lore where I did my engineering. I simply love the RX100 even today comparing it to the more trendy bikes available in India now! I have a passion for driving both cars and bikes, i've taken a ride on most bikes available in India and rode CBR 600(honda) of my friends at abroad .

Comparing to Indian bikes( as we cannot compare with Harleys or Ducati's!) it's really amazing!

Pick-up, power, handling is it's forte. Even today though I own a car, I love to commute to my office on my Rx 100, it gives me sheer pleasure, reminds me of my college days and makes me feel nostalgic! Emotions apart, I love the unofficial challenges on the terrible roads by the so called "definately male" things and "hunks" which get reduced to "junks" when they dare race against me!

Though being a responsible family man now, I avoid getting into these streetfights but sometimes get tempted and more than once have blasted the competition into oblivion. I'm not trying to boast of myself being a  valentino rossi but all credit to my bike RX 100 which pulls along upto 105 Km/hr with ease! Even after 18 years in service, all I did was a repaint and a bore, it has clocked more than 250, 000 kms. I used to travel extensively when in B'lore, went for long trips to Nandi Hills from whitefield, bangalore. Though it was lying idle most of the time for the past 2 years as I was abroad, I could kick it back into life with 3 kicks!( wonder which other bike in India can mange that!)

Though I use it sparingly these days, whenever I ride her, the instant throttle response makes me feel great and special ! The mileage is not an issue with me though it gives a decent 38 KMPL. Don't expect both, abroad biking is a passion unlike here in India where its more of a utility vechile for those who cant afford a car! Still, I will say, better to buy a bike that gives performance over mileage. Better to get bikes that can touch 110 kmph instead of 110 KMPL!

Lets hope we people in India will soon get a real world standard bike( not some 150cc, 4 stroke bike with new stickering and absurd styling, that looks neither good, nor is it comfortable to ride!)

Till then guys, satisfy your biking pleasures with one and only RX 100!
