The DiVinci Code is a great fast paced book that is full of surprising plot twists that will keep you coming back for more. It is one of the best books ever written about Christianity and Catholics, and while it may be fiction, it certainly will force you to think about the theories that come out in the book. Many will argue that the theories and claims in this book are bogus and sacrilegious, but this is a fictional book that was meant to be enjoyed not to plot against the Catholic Church.
The ideas in Browns novel are innovative and new, which is why this book is a bestseller and the topic of many conversations. The controversy that this book has supposedly caused is interesting because it only proves how thought provoking The DiVinci Code is. And while the secret societies and religious scandals may seem ridiculous, Brown is able to write in such a way that it doesn't seem so impractical. He uses icons such as Leonardo DiVinci, the Holy Grail, Jesus, and Mary Magdalene that the masses are familiar with, which is the reason why the claims can be so convincing. If you dont agree with the ideas or claims in this book, you should at least give Dan Brown the respect that he deserves and remember that he is not trying to over through the Catholic Church.
Dan Brown is an excellent author and his style of writing is superb. He writes the book in such a way that you cannot put the book down without wanting to pick it right back up again. When reading the book, you feel as if you are right there with Robert Langdon racing through Paris and London searching for answers and looking for clues. The plot twist will keep you guessing, and the conclusion will surprise you. All and all, this is an excellent thriller and perhaps the best of our time
