Generally game shows will become a success only when presented in a good format and arouse keen interest in the viewers.
I like some of the game shows like KBC-2 (Star Vijay) & Jackpot (Jaya).
Not bcoz they are conducted by famous personalities, but the way in which they conduct them.
My niece was so much impressed with this new 'Thangavettai' and compelled me to watch it last weekend. After watching it for more than half an hour, I decided it would be better to go to bed early than watch this show.
One - the anchor does not present this in a interesting format. She should be reminded that just wearing a fashionable saree and screaming for every 5 mins will never do any good.
Two - The questions ! How would you expect to ask ''What is our national bird ?'' kind of questions. Almost all questions are of this nature. But the hilarious part is some participants do not answer these too.
Three - The suspense element is totally lacking. In all shows the final moments should be filled with some suspense. (Like KBC - '' will he answer it & double the money or lose it ?'' Or Jackpot ''will they score enough to play jackpot''). But here there is no that kind of stuff. It goes on like any other Tamil serials.
Might be bcoz of the attractive sets and simple questions, small kids like my niece will continue to watch it.
Hopefully Sun network will not remain complacent, but try to make some interesting shows at least in the future.
