One more of my comprehensive review..its really special to write a review on things that are close to my heart..
Today whatever I am, I give 90% of the credit to my parents..and 10% to my school..the ocean of knowledge where in I got many of my values and the decency. Today as a successful individual I always look behind proudly at my school and my parents..
Yea by now u must have guessed, that my review for today is ST XAVIERS HIGH SCHOOL Bhandup(W) Mumbai-78
The product m writing a review on is ST XAVIERS HIGH SCHOOL, VILE PARLE ..but am talking about the ST XAVIERS HIGH SCHOOL BHANDUP..
This school will always be very close to my heart, I was moulded from here since my childhood..as a kid I was very naughty and very stubborn..but the etiquette m carrying along with me now is all cause of my mom dad and my school..my school was my second parents to me..
I've spend 14 years of my life in this school..Jr kg..Sr kg..1st std to 10 std and the two years of my junior degree.. as this was a school as well as junior college
In these 14 years I hardly remember that i've ever cussed this school.. saying its bad or not worth..As this was a catholic convent, there were reservation for Catholics..and for non-catholics to get admission was a big deal..but I was smart when I was a kid (My mom told me this :-P ) I got through the admission process and got admission..i dono the rection of my parents nor mine but all I can say now..THNKS TO MOM DAD WHO PUT ME IN THIS SCHOOL
As all catholic convents, this one was no different in terms of strictness at the same time good atmosphere between students and teachers..
Today I seriously miss those days where I used to get scoldings and the love the teachers had for all the students.. Once we go to junior college, the care becomes less as we are thought to be grown-ups..
School timing:
*Jr KG & Sr KG -->1pm-4 pm
1st STD-4th STD -->1pm-6pm
5th STD-10 STD--> 7am-1pm*
Now il go on to discuss the pros of this school:
Ocean of knowledge: This school was really a ocean of knowlegde for me..learnt a lot from this place..IF NOT HARDCORE KNOWLEDGE BUT GREAT VALUES AND ETIQUETTE'S and in life these values matters a lot..
There were special lectures on values..it was named VALUE EDUCATION.. ie values like patriotism..punctuality..respect etc etc
There were special lectures on religion also..it was names ETHICS.. the best part is there used to be two groups..ie catholic students and non-catholic students..but the education that was provided always meant all gods are equal..
Knowledgeable teachers: The teachers who used to teach at the school were highly talented and knew the art of teaching very well..they used to use various teaching techniques like projectors..charts etc etc. This school is well known around mumbai because of its reputation and classy standards.
Central location: This school was situated at such a place that students across multiple areas can join this school..Student use to come from bhandup..powai..vikhroli..mulund.. so it really covered a very big area..
Bus facility: The school had bus facility for the students..it used to cover all the above mentioned ares..but the bus fees was a bit expensive..but one thing that is assured while travelling via school bus is that safety of the student is being guaranteed. But students can opt going themselves home..ie not choosing bus facility of school
No fees for senior section: The school has fees upto junior section ie upto standard 4th..ie 400 per month during my time..now it has increased, but the best part is that SENIOR SECTION DOESN'T HAVE TO PAY FEES AS ITS A GOVERNMENT AIDED SCHOOL
Better in standards than all the schools around the surrounding area: This school is one of the best school with NAME, REPUTATION, RECORDS, etc
During the time I passed out, one guy from our batch topped maharashtra board and its a big deal to top any board..that boy has secured 92% and that's a big achievement..both for the school as well as the boy!!!!
Records and stats: ST XAVIERS get 100% pass results nearly every alternate year..that itself proves the quality of education provided over here..
Mixture of cozy as well as strict atmosphere: The blend of affection with strictness is maintained and this helps in making the teacher-student interaction more better.
Encouragement: Every year various awards are being distributed to students securing good academics result..and even students good in sports and arts are being noticed and being given various awards..
Competitions: Various competitions are held intra school like elocution contest, speech contest, debate etc etc
School sports team: The school has a football team for under-12, under-14, under-16 which participates in MSSA league of all schools..and the school does performs exceptionally well in such sport events..Intra sports day also are being held for students and medals and certificates are given to those who win the events.
Mixture of lectures: There are physical education lectures in which physical exersize are being done by the students which keeps them fit..Even audio visual lectures are kept so that students can relax by watching various cartoons..this is for junior students
Clean environment: The environment is kept clean and no student is allowed to litter paper or any other materials and the washrooms are kept clean always.
The academic programs: The academics are held 4 times in a year and they really keep a serious eye on students progress card..
No bunking allowed: Students cant bunk :-D
PTA meetings: Parents-Teacher meeting are held in order to discuss imp. topics on improvements
Few cons about this school:
The bus fees are quite high: The school bus fees are high, its coz of petrol prices rising..
Fights on bus-stops: Sometimes there are fight at the near-by bus-top by school children..But the watchmen keep an eye on the bus-stop also, and reports to the higher officials and then they take actions..
I would recommend this school to everyone and anyone
