I got ma hands on de SE w610i on october 10th, 2007....actually I had made up ma mind to buy a w810, but at da last moment, changd ma mind seeing dis sexy babe...
Also the shopkeeper had convinced me to buy dis fone as he told me dat de 610i had a sleeker design, better software, faster interface, walkman 2 and better video player when compared to w810i, while in all other features it equalled w810i...
So I decided to cash in w610i and bought it for Rs 10800/-(excluding the speakers)....But I was in for a real shock when I used it to take ma parents' foto that nite...the cam really sucked at nite! I got real upset coz I knew the cam ability of w810i....but when I used de fone next morning..it was a diff case...cam quality was very good...and I felt a bit relieved...
The screen was very nice and the fone was super quick...thru files....fotos...videos etc..browsing thru them is real quick....and it got me 2 days to get the hang of typing sms with this fone...but then it became as simple as dat...the walkman of this fone is awesome...superb sound clarity and real nice interface and looks....
Loudspeaker is also loud enough...but what made me impress was the ergonomics of the fone...extremely comfortable to hold....and when talking to someone using the walkman headfones...its an entirely indulging experience..no noise from the surroundings disturb u.....
AWESOME !! And a very good thing abt w610 is that its display is TFD instead of TFT as in w810i and most other fones...so it uses far less energy...and so battery back up is excellent..with a decent use...it will last 2 to 3 days in comfort....with very less use....ie around 15 or 20 min talk per day...it will last at least 5 full days...and on full charge...you can listen to music thru headfones for more than 20 hours.....
EXCELLENT !!!!!!!!.....And another thing I should say is that all sony ericsson fones can be modded by using softwares like FAR manager and XS++...and I modded mine too...cam quality at nite is a lot better now....and the sound ROCKZZ !!!!
My loudspeaker volume is now comparable or even as loud as the loud modified K750s and w810s....and I am extremely happy abt that....All in all.....i juz love ma fone...and 1 more thing...most of ma friends(especially gals) love the snazzy looks of de fone...(Black and Orange)....so if I am askd to rate the fone..i would give 4 outta 5 or 9 outtta 10 for the fone...if the cam was better, then no doubt, it deserves 5 outta 5 !!!!!!!
