I have been a regular buyer from Snapdeal and they are pretty good with the pricing and schemes. I have ordered goods worth 1 lac from Snapdeal in last 3-5 months and also recommended Snapdeal to my friends and relatives. As I was quite happy with them, I ordered a Mangrove Tea/Coffee pots( Quantity 2) from Snapdeal on 31st October.


On 4th November ordered was delivered to me and this was the first time I got a defected product from Snapdeal.com. I immediately called the customer to inform about the issue and they said they will arrange the pickup in 48 hours. After 3 days I got a mail from them that my city comes under non-serviceable area where they don't have reverse pickup facility though all other companies like Flipkart, HS18, Amazon etc have reverse pickup in my area.


They told me to send the product back to them to get the refund. I visited nearest courier to me which is Bluedart and the courier guy told me that charges for courier will be Rs. 1000 for product worth Rs. 900 that to damaged products. I told this to snapdeal customer care executive and they told they will arrange the pickup and after keeping me on hold for 4 days they again said we don't have reverse pickup.


You send the product and we will refund the amount including courier charge and then I visited Bluedart again and they were showing some tantrums in accepting the products because it is already damaged even after Rs. 1000/- charges so I have not sent the product from Bluedart.


Now when I called customer care again and requested them to arrange the pickup they kept me on hold for another 8-9 days and today when I called they simply refused and said if you want refund send the product back otherwise no refund will be processed. No other courier near my locality is accepting the product as it is already damaged.


My advice for other is to stay away from Snapdeal. They can easily cheat you by sending defected product. Product I got was completely damaged like they were in damaged condition before the dispatch. Packaging was also very poor.
