My experience..
After seeing Times of India, I bought a Sahara Notebook,Intel Pentium Mobile series for 35K.. Chepaer than Acer/Dell/HP..I bought this August 2006.. Just Lastweek(November 1 week), I has a problem with my laptop. I tried to insert a US stick behind ,while holding the monitor.. The screen was so delicate than my other TFTS(I also use HP TFTS in office) and there was a white patch immediately..
I called up Sahar but I could reach them only by BSNL landline or I should keep spending on STD calls to Pune.. They had a deal with ultima computers to repair laptops in Bangalore area.. They came to my palce the nect day and the guy assured that he would check with his seniors in his office and would get back to me.. After 2 days there is no repsonse. Again a lot of STD calls.. then again the guy came and took my laptop to his office.. Again 2 days no response.. And I sent escalting mails to the mail id I found from Sahara website, and finally I got reply that it was a damage and need to pay 13K extra to fix..
Thanks for all that wonderful customer service..
The lesson learn:
Always go in for consumer products , fo which you can get spare parts.. This I learnt from 2 of my products.. One is Sahara Laptop and another is Honda Activa spares.. From showroom to showroom I was bounced..
So guys check the forums .. friends before get brainwashed by Ads in newspapers..
Thanks
Nawaz
