Pantene pro v shampoos and conditioners do not help your hair at all. They actually leave a waxy substance on har to let you believe it is getting better, but in reality it is creating a very bad build up on the shaft of your hair, and eventually will leave your hair limp and damaged. Not to mention the allergic reactions I have heard of, and they test their products on animals.
The makers of pantene also lie when they say that the vitamins in the shampoo fix your hair. Hair is dead as soon as it hits the scalp. The only time hair is alive is when it is in the follicle under the skin.
Thats why hair doesnt hurt when you cut it. Hair is made of a protein called keratin and if hair is already dead, there is no way that ANY vitamin can fix it. The only way to repair damaged hair and split ends is to cut it off.
Please take my advice. I am a licensed hairdresser and have seen this happen to many of my clients, whom when they stopped using pantene and gotten the split ends trimmed off, have found their hair healthier than ever. The best shampoo I have found that is inexpensive would be tressemme, but if you like the expensive stuff, matrix is the best.
