Hi Everyone,
The objective of this post is to find out if anyone in our group or your
acquaintance had gone through what the Patient here had undergone. If you have
any experience, feel free to bring it to my notice. Also get me copies of
complaints if you had bought it to the hospital's notice. I want to collect
facts and figures before I go legal against the institution. Disclaimer “I have
no intention to black mark this institution, but to find fact and similar bad
experiences. Also the posting here is my personal experience. The very reason I am here is to get access to at least a few patients or thier relatives who were in the hospital between Jan 22, 2008 until Feb 5, 2008”.
My Father-In-Law had undergone a bypass surgery in this hospital. All is fine here, the
doctors, and the care from the nurses in the ward, the reception and the cleanliness.
Please note that this hospital is not a charity hospital as you think and no
patients is admitted unless the money is paid in full, irrespective of the fact
that part or all of the cost is covered by insurance. Since you are not treated
on charity, I believe the Patient needs to be given that extra care, especially
when they are in the state of helplessness.
The following are the experience the Patient had to go
through when he was in the ITU soon after the bypass surgery. Speaking loudly
by a group of people( the patient was not in a state to identify the group as
he was on ventilator) and playing music
in the middle of the night in the ITU. Jan 26, 2008 night. The extreme pain he
had to go through while taking off all the tubes and systems from his body by a
nurse who appeared to be less experience and had no mercy(hospital law and
standard says a minimum of 5 years of experience for all the nurses in the ITU).
Jan 27, 2008. Air Condition systems down from Jan 26th night( a big
question to infection free environment and raising temperature).
What is worse is I had got the above incident to the hospitals notice
through 2 medium which includes through their website'info@hrudayalaya.com' This e-mail was sent on Jan 28,
- at 15:51. Since I did not receive any response to the same, and also
considering a possible network failure, I did fax the same to their number 080 – 27832648, on Jan 30, 2008.at
15:57. What is more disturbing is I haven’t heard from them yet in spite of
escalating the matter to their management.
So If anyone had the above experience,
especially on the dates mentioned above, feel free to e-mail me the details. I can be reached at peter_harri@yahoo.com.
Good administration and Good doctors is a good recipe for a GOOD HOSPITAL. Good
doctors and bad administration will still run, but for some time. We the public
are directly responsible to get the quality up of the institution running in
our country. If we need to claim we are a developed country, we need to push
our institution hard to get there. I certainly do not want patients coming from
all over the globe to go through this kind of experience. This is not good for
US as Indians and certainly I personally would not appreciate that.
