We were group of around 15 people looking for night out near pune. We heard café Paradise is good place for guys to go out preferably for booze party. A fine stone constructed building and infrastructure kept reasonably clean, but dare you! they don’t have enough restrooms and whatever is there is dirty.
Nice amphi theatre and small useless child play area. Staff of around 4-6 ignorant arrogant people to serve. They will take whole amount and extra security deposit in advance or at time of check in. Food and beverage bills also you need to pay instantly, when you order it.
After parking our car in parking area we saw 3-4 beautiful breed of dogs caged in a area with message board “Guarded by professionally trained dog”, we felt safe…. nice! Then another board “Don’t be afraid of the dogs, beware of the owner” this board had pistol printed on it. Now, we thought it was really creative and funny. But should have understood that was somewhat a reality.
It took them 1 hr to set up our dormitory, no water was served till table was set around 8:00PM. Also they said they would charge 10% extra to set tables near amphi theatre, as we were lot of people could not be accommodated in usual seating area. Single small bowl of ice costs 30/- rupees, which is mostly free in all restaurant/resorts. Costly edible starters, and costly worthless lunch/dinner.
They argued on charging extra money in percentage on almost every service they provide. Only thing to appreciate that they did not disturb us when we were boozing. Passed 11:00 PM we were not even offered water to drink. Also Services start at sharp 8:00 Am or later(:P) not before that in morning.
Early morning all people were waiting without good restroom services, no water, nothing to eat. We told that manager we needed to leave so we can have breakfast early somewhere else. He told us he can’t pay as he does not have money to pay back security deposit.
Another incident, young guy in our group boozed a little high and puked. We asked staff to clean and told would pay for it, answer we got was “All people here are from high cast(from Uttaranchal/uttarakhand or some place), we do not do this kind of work”. Now we were really angry on this response from that guy, but since it was our guy’s mistake and we did not wanted scene and enjoy our time there we requested him to do it, he agreed by charging us around 400/- to clean a single tile.
