Pros:
It works for many people - people find people on this site.
Cons:
If you know how to play it and temper your expectations, there are none.

You are going to read a lot of reviews on here about how Match.com steals money via auto renewing of accounts. You will read such phrases as "illegal, unauthorized, I canceled, I checked the box that said
do not renew, etc.

If you sign up for a paid subscription to Match.com, look at the language about an inch above the final "subscribe" button. It reads as follows:

When you press ’Subscribe’, your credit card will be charged
immediately. Unless you resign, your subscription will be renewed
automatically after your initial term.

So, it’s not buried in the terms of use, it’s right there on the check out page, in the same size type as the rest of the text around it. There is no "opt out button" for auto renewal either. To prevent auto renewal, you simply resign (cancel) your subscription - you still get to use it for all of the time you paid for it. Just cancel 5 minutes after you subscribe, and you will not be auto renewed.

Now, if you fail to cancel, stop using the site, and notice a charge two years down the road, who is to blame? Shame on you for not checking your credit card and bank statements on a regular basis.

Regarding refunds, your first answer is almost always going to be "we have a no refund policy." You CAN get some or all of what you are after if you are persistent - as long as you have not continuously used the subscription after your renewal. If you have sent a few dozen emails through the Match system and ask for your money back, you aren’t going to get it. If you have truly not used the account since the renewal you should have a good case, but don’t waste your breath on the first agent you speak to - a supervisor at the call center may issue you a refund, or they may escalate to an escalation team for review and it will be resolved via email. Using the magic word "chargeback" can sometimes help you get a refund.

Also be aware that canceling on line can be tricky. The final page has a button that cancels the cancellation and you really have to read and pay attention to that page to make sure you click the correct links and actually cancel. If in doubt, pick up the phone and call care at  1-800-926-2824 and make sure you are resigned.
