The smoothest car in the C segment would be the swift dzire zxi. I got mine delivered on April 18 2011 after a long wait of 4 months the moment finally came. The wait was worth it, the car is a beauty with the power of the 1.2 L k series engine, took some time to get used to it but it got better as it was driven. It gave an incredible mileage of 14kmpl in the city and 17 kmpl on the highway. the car was driven a lot, a 1000kms was done in about a week and 5000kms in a month. The car has given no indications of any trouble at any point of time, now it has travelled about 8000kms in 3 months and there has been no problems so far. I had changed the standard jk tyre vectra 185/60 to bridgestone potenza g3 195/75 as soon as I got the delivery this made the car smoother and gave it a better grip. there is more leg room in the zxi than in lxi/vxi. The car has even been a life saver when I was driving on the national highway at about 165km/h a dog crossed the road but the abs and ebd did their work pretty well and the mishap was averted. in the end I would say that I am a happy Dzire owner and would suggest everyone to go for it.

UPDATE

after using the car for almost 8 months I spotted a shortcoming in the automatic climate control of the car. In winter while using the heater in auto mode the car takes fresh air to prevent fogging but this leads to a huge problem since there is no air filter so foul smell comes in causing inconvenience. The only solution was to put it in manual mode and use it or else the car would fog which it shouldn't.

I sent an E-mail to maruti suzuki regarding this I got a reply in which I was told to contact the regional service manager on contacting he was unavailable.

this shows that even a small problem can cause a good product to go bad the drive is smooth but the A/c is a real problem. On doing some research I found out that almost all cars that have auto A/c are fitted anti pollen and dust filters even the SX4 then why the DZire doesnt have it isnt it a part of maruti's Stable?
