This review will be a little long so please be patient. I want to narrate the whole incident so that you can decide on your own.
I ordered a Samsung Plasma 43" TV from this website for about 38k, because of the low price for my parents. When I went home after a month or so I noticed that there was a logo burnt on bottom right of the screen. This happens in Plasma when the screen save option is not turned on and a logo is displayed continuously on the TV. When I pressed the scroll mode in the settings I noticed that it was a airtel logo burnt on the screen. Now this wouldn't have happened in our place as we had only been using TataSky.
I complained to Letsbuy about this, first they snubbed me and said that it is not possible, but when I called again and again they asked me to remove the TV pack in original packing and send back to them. Then they will check the product and send me a replacement if they deem fit. I told them I don't know how to remove the TV from the wall and pack it. Why don't you send me a replacement and take this used TV? They didn't agree and stopped replying.
I knew that my parents won't be able to send the TV back, I called up Samsung customer care. They visited my home after several calls and while investigated cooked up the circuit board of the TV. Now I am left with a dead TV. I repeatedly asked them to replace the TV but they didn't listen. After few days they came and replaced the circuit and said they will not replace the TV. I had to haggle with them a lot and they agreed that I have been sent a showroom display TV (USED) and they can't do anything about it except change the panel.
I was so harassed that I agreed to get the panel changed instead of the TV which they changed after several days.
I don't want anyone else to go through this hassle again. I don't know what is a solution to this problem but I can suggest that you should avoid buying high value products from this website especially TV as they have no control over the products which they send. I think they have a partnership with a dealer and that dealer is minting money by sending USED TV packed in new packaging. I noticed in Plasma TV whereas in LCD TV it is pretty hard to notice if it is a used TV so I let you take your own decision.
Thanks for your patience,
Vikas
