Pros:
Prominently located on Hill Road
Cons:
I had a bad day

Sizzlers are all smoke and mish mash of left over and un-saleable meat and vegetables.

Rarely have I criticised food in any
form.

But maybe KOBE on Hill Road, Bandra (West) makes me do it this time.

I have eaten here earlier and not been much impressed, but let it pass, blaming it on a crowded Saturday night. But this time, it was a reticent Sunday night out with the wife and kids and they left me with a horrible taste in the mouth.

A taste of yucks mustard sauce that was way too harsh on all the senses makes me loathe to trash this place.

And their indifferent attitude makes it all the more indigestible. One can understand a let down in quality or workmanship once in a while - but the lacaidascal attitude is what causes a stomach upset - literally - LITTER-ally and figuratively. Pun intended.

You fill a blackened iron plate with a bed of greens. ( so called lettuce leaves but nothing more than cauliflower greenery )

Then you load it with a lot of potato french fries ( soaked in stale oil ) and centre it with the meat of honour ( maybe rubbery chicken / meat / ham or paneer-what else is there to eat ? )

Dress it up with a few colourful julienne carrots, some boiled french beans and sprinkle some de-frozen green peas for good measure - lay this piping hot metal plate on to a wooden platter thats wet - and voila - you have a sizzler smoking and sizzling into your nostrils till you fan yourself into digging into some muck ( fancy some sauce ? )

You shell out approximately 300 bucks for this jamboree of a mini meal that only lines the pockets of our restaurateur and silts the insides of your intestines with carbs and polyinsurated fat.

Not that I dont have some fond memories of great shashlik and satellite sizzlers at YOKO’s with friends and a blast of a time at that - but this KOBE made my eyes water and my stomach groan for a couple of days thereafter - which made me so foul mouthed.

Regret sharing my disgust with you - but I had to vent my fury out somewhere - and Mouthshut - gives me this rare liberty.

Over to you buddies - Rave or Rant - Bouquets or brickbats - choice is yours.

Burp ! Shucks ! That mustard still leaves a stale stink in the bowels.

Regards
Raja
