I got my "Special" kid admitted to Greater Valley School , GVS, Greater Noida. It appeared as only option in NCR who claim to have an Integrated setup where they allow integration of special kids in main stream. They also claimed to have good setup for autistic kids/ down syndrome/ mentally retarded kids and claim to have all kinds of therapists.
But after paying through nose to get the admission and continuing for so long, I came to know the reality!
This school is full of dishonest people only interested in earning.
They charge you for all kinds of therapies - speech therapy, occupational therapy, special education, shadow teachers besides the normal tuition fees. But in reality they lack appropriate staff. In my case they were charging for the therapy - when the therapist had left the school long back!
They can go to any extent. From BEATING to TORTURING kids! Several teachers themselves complain about the ill treatments given by their 'coordinator' and 'the principal'.
Your child will be safer at home, as compared to sending to this school - full of BULLIES. Be it several of the teachers or the Coordinator or the PRINCIPAL herself!
Take care - and think several times before dealing with this school.
