Global Fusion located in the Times Square mall is humongous! You have to enter through the mall to go up to this hotel. I have never seen such grand interiors of any restaurant, other than a Five Star! Oh goodness me, it was so beautifully done! There was a see through floor, with pebbles and fishes under us! Wow, that was so exciting!:D
I had gone here with my brother and we both just loved the place! The whole place was decorated with sophisticated furniture and nice tables and chairs. We made our way to a table and the restaurant was pretty empty, owing to it being a weekday. Not a lot of people had come for dinner. We chose and nice place that provided us a view of the whole restaurant and all the food that was laid out.
There were a lot of waiters around us, and they were very courteous and sweet, but then we didn't need a lot of help as all was self-service. We went and looked around at the place and saw delicious food, laid out in front of us. From different soups to excotic starters, they all looked so appetizing. I liked their system of writing the name of the starter that you want, and handing it over to the Manager. He would simply get the dish piping hot to your table.
Some of the dishes like Chicken Chilly etc were yummy! Some of them were not that great and were just ok! We eat a lot of starters and had very little space for Main Course but nevertheless we went for it. My brother opted for plain dal and rice and he was somehow not very happy with it. The Dal was not at all tasty and had no flavour whatsoever. I took some Chicken Biryani and Chinese Noodles and they were strictly ok. Nothing out of ordinary!
Overall Global Fusion was an ok experience and one tip for you- do not go expecting a lot. I am not a fan of Sushi etc otherwise I am sure I would have enjoyed the place a lot. From Japanese to Indian food, you can go here if you want to sample everything from all over the world.
