Desmonds in Koramangala is a wonderful place. I had heard reviews about this place from my friends and wanted to try it out sometime. I had heard that the Rs 99/- buffet was really good. So when I was around that area for some shopping I decided to try out the lunch buffet .
As soon as we entered this place , we were welcomed by the smilling staff and were escorted to the table. It was around 1:30 and and the place was about 75 % full. The interiors is simple and very elegant.
As soon as we were seated, water was served and the waiter asked us if we wanted the buffet lunch. The wonderful part of the buffet is the food is served at the table !!! They have set meal for the day which comprises of rotis/kulchas/or parathas, a chicken dish, a vegetable dish , some kind of kadi, dal, rice and for dessert it is ice cream. On our day we got to try tandoori rotis, chicken korma, bhendi masala, punjabi kadi , yellow dal and jeera rice . Wow!! the quality of food was excellent. It was low on oil and spice , and yet very tasty. Though we were only two of us and even though there was food remaining in the bowls the waiter did not hesitate to refill the bowls to the brim. We had our full and at last was desert, we were given choice of vanilla or strawberry ice cream. The quality of ice cream was also very good.
Buffet is only for lunch from Mon to Sat. I strongly recomment this place for the buffet. I think this place is also good for continental stuff .
In all this place is excellent in terms of food, ambiance & service!!!!!
