I am back to Mouthshut.com almost after 1 year, but it never late & I want to give all credit to Tata Indicom people for turning me out to Mouthshut.com, You know why? Well you will know as soon you finish this article. I am glad to back at Mouthshut.
I'll start from Tata's Tag Line which is like "Tata Indicom - Do More. Live More" - Have you seen this. Offcourse everyone have seen this but to my experience I'll say "Pay More. Get Nothing - Tata Indicom".
Before proceeding further I want folks to let know about that I had used Airtel BroadBand Connection too, for almost 1 year. I informed this in order to compare customer services, product service and other helps & services of these 2 Internet Service Providers.
I have taken the new Tata Indicom Connection on 28th Nov, 2007 coz I was having very limited options. Like the area where my house is located in Chennai, I don't have Aiirtel Boradband. Our locality are having only Sify, Hathway, BSNL & Tata Indicom. BSNL takes long time for installation & processing so I concentrate on other 3 providers out of which I decided to go with Tata Indicom Boradband on 28th Nov, 2007.
To me from 28th Nov all of my trouble started and you can say instead of getting peace at my work, I had invited troubles on my own by taking Tata Services.
To quote: **I know many Senior Employees from all such companies visit's Mouthshut.com & to support my evidence at best I am furnishing here with my details. Just to let Tata Indicom people know that they are worst & pathetic Internet Service Provider in India.

To all you people I do want to give some brief about my nature of work. I am in Online Marketing, so I am kinda person who needs to devote 24 hours over Internet with good connectivity obviously.
So where I was, after applying & getting all things done I was ready to Rock n Roll. For 2-3 days it was like very good & I was cursing all those people who recommended me not to go for Tata Indicom Broadband, but I did. After 3 days whatever the good impression I was having all has been ruined till date. I faced the problem of not being able to connected, while the Link Light was also not blinking at my router. Next step called Customer Care at 044-60607070 they had given me complaint no and informed me that it will be resolved in next 24 hours. Very next day there Technical Person came did something and it was fine then.
2nd time**: Again I faced the same problem with frequent disconnection in every 10-15 mins, again same things happen after 2 days Tata Technical Executive visited and sorted out problem.
3rd Time**: Same problem, called helpline and now comes the funniest part. The technical person who visited that it's not a problem with Tata Indicom it is the problem with my Anti-virus. He said if you install some updated Anti-virus, all be done.
I did that, installed Norton Internet Security Anti - Virus, still was not able to get connected. Same procedure I followed for 4th time, again he suggested me that now there is a problem with your PC & Anti Virus it is Blocking the Traffic.
What to do as an honest person I formated my PC, installed Mc'Afee this time, still couldn't able to get rid of this problem.
I don't what was the thing whenever there Technical Person visits my home all of a sudden all my connectivity related problem got solved, but after half n hour again it starts troubling me.
To me it was the worst annoying thing & rather I was fed-up with all this, between I launched complaint again & again in regard to this problem
8th time :** I was not able to browse Internet for almost 10 days and on daily reporting about this problem to Call Centre they keep saying there tailored made repliesSir there was a cable cut problem at your area There is an problem with your IP settings Someone has snatched cable in your area and there Line Man are finding fault. and....so on....many more ready made replies they have.
I got completely pissed of with all this, not getting proper feedback from Tata Indicom nor there Technical Person Visists my home and if they visit instead of accepting fault from their end, he keep trying to blame that it's an problem with my PC.
To this I tried connecting thru Laptop of one of my Friend again not able to get connected.
It was now high time and I literally bashed at Call Center Executive. Told him if it is not going to resolved in next 24 hours than I need to discontinue services & look for some other option. Written email to Nodal Offcier, Technical Head & called Customer Care many time to address my problem ASAP - but at the end, there is nothing.
During all this I had updated about all this status online at https://twitter.com/afzee - You can easily figure out from my updates what was my state of mind & how much I was get frustrated with Tata Indicom.
After all such one line man came and did some thing, from him I came to know that their SERVER was down for almost 1 week, that's why they were not adressing my problem. It work fine for next 3 days again the same problem started.
I was completely fed up with Tata Connectivity & Services, so I decided to purchase Reliance USB wireless connection and still using the same.
SO, to my experience as I told you earlier I used Airtel also for 1 year, never faced such problem & if I had faced disconnection problem once or thrice, Airtel people has resolved it in 24 hrs time frame. It was in total Good Service & Broadband Service provider.
While with Reliance I am using it from last 1 week and very much satisfied in comparison to Tata Indicom.
Conclusion:-*Don't ever ever think of Tata Indicom Broadband Services, they are pathetic, very bad customer service, they are like cheater they say they will provide you with 128 kbps and atlast you will be receiving speed of only 56 kbps, like what I am receiving.
Somehow if you don't have other options apart from Tata Indicom, better I would suggest to try for Reliance USB Easy to surf/Airtel/Sify and Never try to look for Tata Indicom.
This is all which I want to share with you & would request and suggest, better to not have internet connection instead of getting connection from TATA INDICOM - BROADBAND. THEY ARE THE WORST INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER IN INDIA.
