Bibi ka Maqbara is a famous historical place located in Aurangabad. It is the burial place of Dilras Banu Begum, wife of Mogul empire Aurangzeb. This historical tomb is a true replica of Tajamahal in Agra. It was established in 17th century.
I visited this place when I toured Aurangabad. It is a nice construction with white stones and the pillars, windows are creatively crafted. The Gallery part of the monument gives an artistic view to the tourists.
The area is quite big and there are gardens, fountains, axial tank etc The garden is also well planned and constructed following a nice architecture model. But, when you enter the area, all attraction falls to the white tomb which is a picturesque construction with historical back ground.
The place is very popular in Aurangabad, not much crowded. If you want to spend some quality time, you can just come over and relax. There is not much hype on this place and the atmosphere is really peaceful and sacred.
I have observed a small mosque near to the tomb and liked the serenity there too.When you are just roaming in the place in the afternoon time, the tune of religious player takes you mind to a another world. You can feel the royal back ground of Mugal Emperor and the history of ancient India. Aurangabad is a historic place and Bibi Ka Maqbara just justifes its historical importance, so certainly it is a landmark of this city.
Aurangabad is a small city and reaching to to this place is very easy. You can reach there by private car, auto, bike. There is no question of accommodation, as it is a place to spend some hours only.
If you are planning to take a short trip to Aurangabad, just do not forget to visit Bibi Ka Maqbara. It will definitely be a good experience!
