Genre: action
Punch Line: Free make(copy) of okkadu, soggadu and badra.
Theme: a journalist helping 2 lovers to succes in seema faction
Story:
The film is all about a young man risking his life to bring the estranged lovers together.
Bangaram (Pawan Kalyan) is a journalist. His ambition in life is to join in BBC. His boss fires him, when he fails to bring the interview of a terrorist leader. Bangaram approaches the chairperson of the channel, Peddireddy (Mukeshi Rishi). By consequence of events, Bangaram is forced to spend some days with Peddireddy's family consisting of his two daughters –
Sandhya (Meera Chopra) and Vindhya (Baby). Impressed with local faction leader Bhoomareddy's (Ashutosh Rana) style of functioning Peddireddy fixes his daughter Sandhya's marriage with Bhoomareddy's brother. The story then turns. Sandhya has a lover (Raja) with whom she is planning to get married soon. The rest of the film is how our hero Bangaram brings the two lovers together.
Technical Stuff
The much awaited “Bangaram” disappoints as far as the story is concerned. Certainly, it is not the sort the element fit for Pawan Kalyan. Romantic expressions, which form part and parcel of Pawan Kalyan films, is utterly lacking in this movie. Imagine a story where you don’t have a heroine for the main hero!
Screenplay is mired with sporadic stunts and songs. The first half has some appeal while the second half goes totally out of control. Where is the story going?
Direction by Dharani disappoints. Coming to characterization, he relied much on the hero while sidelining the roles of others, thus, killing the entertainment factor.
The treatment of comedy track would give a feel that it is done just for comedy’s sake, devoid of any interest.
The insertion of the thread where the villain gets ready to take 10-year old girl as wife to his brother comes as a vulgar development and throws a heavy and deliberate material to the audiences.
However, you have some respite through dialogues department, which again is run-off-the-mill kind.
Music by Vidyasagar is impressive in parts on the screen. The title song “Bangaram” is highlight, while two more numbers are good.
Stunts are overstretched and have led to the sidetracking the main story. This way, this wing too springs as a wanted projection. The factionist drama in fact is not a necessity here.
FILM VERDICT:
This movie is opened with astonishing collections due to craze od pawan kalyan. Same thing happened to his previous flop movies jhonny, gudumba sankar and balu. No doubt bangaram is another film like that.
the movie opened with flop and average talk all over the state. This movies competents Pokri and veerabadra are much better than this movie. Pokiri will be this summer's biggest hit.
Pawan kalyan's image which is bringing huge openings to all his movies will surely going to decrease now. Bangaram is the 4th flop movie in the row for pawan kalyan.
Looks like he is going in Jr.Ntr's path.
Public talk:
Pawan Kalyan fans:
Average and flop. Watchable for pawan fans for Pawan's acting.
Others:
Flop: A medicore movie to watch with full length boring plot. Waste of money, time and mood.
