Story:
A child - Nandu- turned assassin by circumstances joins a professional gang and in due couse of time becomes a top notch Hitman in Hyderabad along with his Childhood Buddy Malli. And one day a Greedy Opposition leader inorder to eclipse the Ruling party’s stronghold over the state and to increase his Vote bank -setsup a fake attempt on him by them and on the given day when Nandu is on his way to do the needful - the politician is being shot by someother one .And the due turn of events it seems Malli is killed in an accident that follows during the escape flee and inorder to elude the police Nandu jumps into a passing train(ala US Marshals) . There he meets Pardhoo who is going to pasarla pudi, his native village after many years. Paradhoo ran away from the home and now returning after a 12years. In the police encounter pardhoo dies and Nandu escapes and lands in Pasarala pudi as Pardhoo.
Now Nandu falls in love with Poori - the cousin of Pardhoo. Nandu became busy with Poori and pardhu's family members and keep solving their problems, meanwhile CBI Officer starts investigation of the order. How the mystery solved is the rest of the film.
To tell you the first half of the movie is racy and is shot excellently special Kudos to K.V.Guhan who has done an excellent job. but the second half caters to sentiments and one must give its due even those are watchable but not upto the first half standards.
But the lead pair chemistry and sleek screenplay along with the music saves the movie and MAHESH proves his mettle after Okkadu- he is simply superb - breathes Fire is action and underplays emotions when required - he is the pillar where the movie is resting.
Trisha is limited to love scenes and comedy but is lively and lovely to watch. Praskashraj does justice to his role as CBI officer .Sonu Sood as Malli has done his job well to o.
Nazar ,Sunil re,Brahmanandam ,Rahul Dev,Sayaji Shinde,Kota Srinvasa Rao, K. Viswanath ,Sudha ,Tannikella Bharani Brahmaji have also done their part well.
Fights: Peter Haynes does his job but now a days he is imitating Matrix style fights a lot and also the final showdown is invariably inspired from Face off.
Dialogues: Trivikram brand dialogues helped the film in comedy scenes.
Music by Mani Sarma is another pillar where the movie rests.
Songs and BGM are superb. The songs are shot beautifully and have melody but are speed breakers for the narration.
Choreographyby Raju Sundaram, Brinda & Vaibhavi Merchant is enjoyable
Trivikram Srinivas , who handled the story, screenplay, dialogues and direction of ''Athadu'' has really donned a major responsibility and hats off to him for giving a clean and decent action entertainer.
Athadu - Mahesh Okkade makes it worth watching.
