A.R. Rehman-An Eternal Prodigy. Review on A.R. Rahman

It gives me immense pleasure to write about the Great Music Director A.R. Rehman (Allah Rakha Rehman). I am very crazy after the incredible music of A.R. Rehman and after reading the review written by MS member Aditya on A.R. Rehman, I thought of sharing a few more informative matters known to me about the Young Prodigy to my dearest Mouthshut friends???

A.R. Rehman (then Dileep) was born on 6th January 1966 and it is an undeniable fact that he is an all-time favourite of the music-lovers. He is really excellent in presenting the most wonderful, delightful and pleasant melodies as well as the rocks.

A.R. Rehman started learning Piano at the age of four and at the age of 11, he joined Maestro Illaiyarajas troupe as a keyboard player. He also played on the orchestra of M.S.Viswanathan and accompanied Zakir Hussain & Kunnakudi Vaidyanathan on various world tours. All this experience enabled him to earn a scholarship to the famed Trinity College of Music at Oxford University from where he obtained a degree in Western Classical Music.

Then he started composing Ad Jingles. Rehman did a lot of popular ads like those for Parry's, Leo Coffee, Boost, Titan, Premier Pressure Cooker etc. Although many people didn?t know that these wonderful music were the creation of A.R. Rehman, these Ad Jingles were appreciated by and attracted the attention of a lot of people???.

Then in the year 1992, a Storm was experienced by the populace, which was nothing but our A.R. Rehman?s entry into the Film industry via ?ROJA?. Always Director Manirathnam?s movies have a great expectation among the Film-lovers and added to the charms of the most expected movie, were the most breathtaking songs and the theme-music by A.R. Rehman. The movie ROJA kept running??. running???.. running??? and earned great popularity among the people.

Very soon it was known that ROJA was just the beginning for A.R. Rehman. It was unquestionably just a beginning of his journey??? and no one could further stop this Young Man?s progress, who had for sure taken the Indian music to enormous heights in the international music arena.

When I started writing this revu, many of my colleagues voluntarily poured in the names of movies of A.R. Rehman known to them, thus encouraging to add more and more of informative stuff to the review. Although it is a known fact that everyone has a great admiration for A.R. Rehman?s music, I came to understand that right from kutti kids to elders, all of them are very crazy about him.
