I saw this movie last night and I could not sleep well after it. It is one of teh most disturbing movies I have seen and yes I still have to see Passion of Christ which I do plan to see soon.
I wont go into the details of the movie plot as that has been wonderfully described by achilles76 in his review, but I woukd like to add a few things. The theme of the movie was good an yes there were some brilliant pieces of performances but the back and forth between time was something I didn't like. It has become a sort of trend these days to do that but call me conservative I still like a simple strong narration.
What I could not understand was that a person who has already taken someone else's heart, he is good enough to feel obliged towards his wife but he isnt decent enough to respect having a new organ and quit smoking? Moreover I fail to understand that though he knows that he may die very soon and wants to do something for his donor's wife why does he want to get emotionally involved with her? will he not have to leave her soon?
Well these are just a few questions, bottom line is there was a lot of hype about this movie but I found it to be too messed up but then that is my opnion :):)
