Story:

Last week I was returning from Dehradun after attending one of the most boring sales conferences by Dehradun Satabdi Express, and then I bought this book from the Railway stall. As railway stalls mostly keep this kind of books, now you may have guess what do I mean from this kind of book. So this two states was this kind of book that when I reached Delhi after five hours Journey I completed it half.

The language of the book was as simple as Amar Chitra Katha and the story was as predictable as Anurag Basu”s Kites. I will not comment much on the writing style of Chetan Bhagat as there is so much written on him as why he is most loved and hated author in India.

Now come on the story of two states, this is a tomato catch-up of many hit bollywood films, like Ek Duje ke liye, DDLJ and many more and even some B-Grade movies. The story starts from the IIMA where the main character Krish (Oh such a filmy name), A Punjabi boy meets a Tamil Brahmin girl. It was a crush at first sight, love at second meeting and sex follows few weeks later. So after all this love, sex and high bollywood kind of campus affair, both passed out from College and planned to marry. The big objection is the families, boy” mother wants a big fat Punjabi weeding and Punjabi match and girl’s parents want to marry her with a person who has truckloads of degrees.

Boy moved to Delhi and girl moved to chennai, got job. Then again there is no twist in the tale. Boy comes to chennai to win the heart of girl’s parents. Between this there are some office part, a weak boss, and load of sex.

Till now you might have seen the designer marriages on cinema only but chetan Bhagat has brought marriage alive on the print. At least more then twenty pages have spent on showing the Punjabi Marriages. There is part showing troubling father son relationships.

So if you want to read this saucy, love story carrying, Mamas, Mausis, Buas and some funny situations without any twist and tale then welcome in the world of Chetan Bhagat.

Last but not least someone who are taking maximum profit from CB no doubt they are the Publishers.
