We had been thinking where to have lunch on my parent's Anniversary. My Dad suggested this place since he's been there a few times & it's close to his office. Off we went.
Location- This restaurant is located in Atria Hotel, next to Maharani's college, Bengaluru.
Ambience- Not so great for a 3-star hotel. It's simple, clean, air-conditioned with uncomfortable seating(back of the wooden chair has no cushion which can be uncomfortable if you sit for long).
Customer Service- They take care of your needs but are slow at it. Bring curries from the buffet table only after they bring roti to your table, else you will end up having cold curries.
Food- Total paisa vasool. There is a huge array of dishes:
Appetiser- Aam Panna, Mixed fruit juice, Buttermilk. Buttermilk was mildly spiced & very good.
Salads- You can choose the ingredients and they'll toss it for you.
Starters- Chilly Chicken, some Babycorn starter both of which they make right in front of you and give. Both were slightly salty.
Main Course- Pasta with Arabita sauce, Roti/Naan, Chicken Hyderabadi, Mutton gravy, Egg Masala, few veg curies(don't ask me which:), Curd rice, Bangla Baath, Daal fry, Veg fried rice, Plain rice, Sambar, Rasam, Chicken biryani with Raita, Fried masala chilli, Fryums. Bangla Baath was exceptionally good. It was similar to curd rice where curd was replaced by Semiya. The thick, creamy curd in it made the difference.
Desserts- Kiwi Rasgulla, Jamoon, Chocolate mousse, Chocolate cake, Blueberry cheesecake, some Halwa, Mango pastry, watermelon, papaya, chocolate/vanilla/strawberry ice creams with chocolate & orange sauces n nuts to top it up with. Phew!
Price- Rs. 527 per head on weekends.
Final Verdict- Go for it on special occasions.
