I have been a member for many years now. Ok most times but they will goof up big time once in a while. Happened with me once before and Recently i ordered 2 books but they delivered inly 1 inspite of my subscription being fir 2 books. No delivery for 3 days when i put in request on phone for 2 books. Customer service giving vague responses so whatsapp messaged and called the owner Hiten Turakhia who said he will look into the issue. Its been 2 days and still my second book has not been delivered. Customer care executive Laxmi says will check and call back but never calls back. So i have been making calls everyday to get issue resolved but zero outcome. They are prompt in taking money for yearly subscription wish they were so prompt in their delivery service as well which is bare minimum required of them. Frustrating

Service was best. Even the pickup and drop service was also good.

While I read several reviews of librarywala.com on this website, I did have to try the same for my kids, so I took a one-month subscription with them and tried out the services which I must say are very good, Cautiously, I renewed for a quarterly plan and yet the services were in line with my expectations, yes the deliveries could be one day late but not every time.

I have now renewed my subscription for a yearly plan and have been using the services for around seven months and have no complaints in regards to the same, their deliveries on time and even if the books that I want to read and circulation I just drop an email to them and get a good response from their team.

If I compare the cost of the books that my child and I have read over the period of last seven months I must say that librarywala has provided value for money, I would surely recommend their services.

If you like reading do not go for their service. Half of your time would go in follow up. Never ever received book on time. They agreed to give time waiver and then denied doing so. They didn't even come to pick up books with me. Very lethargic in delivery and don't care about customer satisfaction. Wish I could give less stars than this.

Extremely slow and lethargic behavior of customer care!

Very slow delivery, it took almost 10 days to receive [available] book that too after follow up.

It was my second request and they could not even catered the initial few deliveries and pick up on time.

From the first delivery of books I am facing issue with their service. I ordered for three books on which they delivered me two books as per my list and third of their own choice as one book was not available. If book is not available then not sure why they allowed me to select!

Nevertheless, when I tried to order for next book it allowed me to select three books but did not allow me to place the order as the system was still showing first two books are delivered to me and third is pending! Horrible portal, not sure who developed it.

Followed-up multiple times but they could not resolve the problem.

Due to system bug they were not in position to deliver books so eventually I asked for the refund and now from last two months I am just keep following up for it. According to their representative Cheque is ready it is just pending for signature from last 1.5 month! Either boss is in Singapore, or is in meeting or on vacation, always ready with one or the other reason for not giving me refund.

Library is an important source of our life it changed our life it makes our life better than today it is not a room it is a place from where v take knowledge not less but not so much but it is sufficient for making our life beautiful and bright then today I thought that if we go to library and I read books it means that I and we are not connected only through our country India it means I and we are connected to all over the world it is source of knowledge from there we grew our mind very very well and well developed it gave us many information about Technology electric and many more it helps us to know many or much more in details about them so we can go to library daily and refresh our mind with new details about the technology and many more.

It worked fine for a few months until in the last month, when I wanted to cancel as it was the time for college admissions procedure to start. I send them the request for account termination 2 weeks before my plan's end date. Not only did they ignore my request, they didn't pick up their own books and told me that I would have to pay for the next month also as my plan's end date was gone. I was thoroughly disappointed but paid the fees hoping I would read at least a little and that after the end date they would give back the refund at least(500/- refundable deposit made at the time of creating the account) - which was a horrible decision. Even after I paid the next month fees, I didn't receive the books and tried logging in again only to find THEY DEACTIVATED my account. Send them a mail explaining the situation, haven't received a reply yet.

Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Its worst business they fool the people service third grade when u give pickup their man

dont come on time they just waste ur days staff members are also very very very worst dont know how to talk to their customer we have sit at home when their man will come we left all our work and just sit at home to wait for their man to come but they dont come it a worst

if u want spend 500 or money just go and donate to some orphange but dont become a member of librarywala at orphange people will give u blessings here to u invite headache coz to deal with illlitreate people is like inviting headache plz plz plz do not become member of this faltu librarywala

I had joined as  a member 2 months back and opted for  mnth membership which for which I had to pay Rs. 500 as a  security deposit.  Post that I cancelled the membership and requested for refund. Its been 1 mnth since I have been following up.

They keep giving reasons of audit for not returning my money. Still following up and not yet got the refund. they dnt even allow us to talk to the owner to escalate things. worst online service experience ever.pls dnt ever subscribe. they are hundreds of better options available

I signed for the services of Librarywala.com in Gregorian calendar month 2010 once I enraptured to urban center. I might say that i'm very proud of their assortment of books further because the delivery and pickup system that eases the pain of aiming to a store and buying the books.

More than that, this service saves plenty of value of shopping for the books then finding an area to store them.

Although there are delays within the delivery of books and lots of books stay in ques however still I might provide their service a four star standing.

I am additionally just about affected with the'request a book' feature whereby you'll request for your required books and that they comprehend for you at no further value except your arrange.

I would suggest this to any or all avid readers in urban center, pune and metropolis. What else does one want once someone's coming back over to your home and delivering your favorite books at a nominal cost?

Hi,

I had librarywala membership for past 6-7 years.Previous year I had taken their six months subscription plan.So after the expiry of the plan, no one from librarywala came to collect the last book, so it had been with me for past 1 year. I called them twice to send someone to pick up the book but no one came.after a year their person came to pick the book that I humbly returned.

This year called them to renew the plan for upcoming 6 months, they told me to pay the late fee fine for the prev book that had been lying with me as per the result of their carelessness.i was so shocked to hear it that the amount of penalty that they calculated was 1650/-(way more than the book cost).I could not stand their unprofessional attitude and told them to cancel my membership.

I asked them to refund my security deposit, but they are still creating the fuss on the matter.Now I m planning to register complaint against them with https://nationalconsumerhelpline.in/

After knowing my experience plz do not start  any membership with them. They are nonsense and unprofessional people.

I was surfing the Internet, I found Librarywala.com by chance.This site is loaded  with best of books both available online as well as delivery.

Just search any book and go for reading option.20000 new books are uploaded every week.Rate rank and review  books as choice.

Order online and delivery within 3 days.I searched for Kell the herb.It was full version without manipulating. Overall I loved the book.Nice site for readers.

The service at the Bangalore centre is lousy. Books aren't delivered for weeks. Same lie of delivery boy met with an accident for six months! Once paid your money's gone. Am waiting for a refund for over a month now

The collection is good but never available. The delivery staff keeps changing and needs to be explained address over multiple times at unreasonable time of the day

All in all a very bad experience after a good experience at the Mumbai library

This is the second time I subscribed to Librarywala. The first time, I terminated my contract with them due to poor deliverables. I had a horrid time getting my refund back from them.

The second time is no different. I had terminated my account last year, but, there was no sign of a refund. On calling them, they asked me to send my bank details and they will have the money credited within a week. An email was sent to them on 4th Feb, with regular follow-ups, but to no response from them. Finally, I received a response from them on 19th March that they have processed the refund. However, it's March 24th and there is no sign of the refund or a response to multiple follow ups from them.

I would strongly recommend people who intend to subscribe to Librarywala not to do so ever as I have this experience both the times I wanted a refund of my deposit.

I was a member of Librarywala.com for couple of years.At first the service was reasonable but by the second year had deteriorated.I never got the books that were on my list and the books were never delivered on time.I decided not to renew my contract.

I requested them to return my refund when they came to collect the last two books that were with me.I was told to return the books and my money would be returned within a week, it would be sent to my bank account.I was reluctant to give them my bank account no at first but did so .It is now three months there is no sign of the money, They do not answer phone calls or reply to emails.

The amount is only Rs 500 but it is the principle, I read from all these reviews that they have done this to several people.

I advise people reading this review not to join and waste your money.

I was a librarywala member for more than 2 years. No hassles. I was quite happy with them. Recommended them to a number of my friends too.

Then when my subscription expired in October'13, I told them I wasn't renewing as I was moving out of Mumbai. Told them to get the Rs 500 refundable deposit while picking up the last books.

Given that they had started their account with me by handing me the first books at the same time as I gave them the initial amount in cash.no bank details required, didn't think that would be a problem. But no.now they want my bank details and will only then process it.

Told them I wasn't giving them my bank details for 500 bucks.if they can't refund through cash, give me cheque. Sent them a mail in this regard It's been 6 months now. I call them regularly. We go through the same routine.

They ask for bank details, I remind of my mail and earlier conversations, they say "Oh yes.you'll get the cheque in 3-4 days. I'll call you in 10 min to confirm." And then its silence till I call the next time. This is shameful. Librarywala has made plenty of money out of me. If they are willing to get a bad name for 500 bucks. That's sad!

Librarywala has to be, without a doubt, the worst small business I have ever dealt with. The only promptness demonstrated was in collecting a hefty "non-refundable" deposit, followed by a registration fee and membership fee.

After these multiple layers of "fees", you might expect decent service. The books are not delivered in a timely fashion. The ones you want are not really available, even if listed on the website. They will use every trick in the book, to tell you that your plan has expired, and they will need more money to deliver your next book.

There is absolutely no employee accountability - no phone calls are returned, no action or follow-up to complaints.

Steer clear and do not remotely consider Librarywala. They are nothing more than a shady operator, who do not deserve to be in business.

I have come across a new provider -'India Reads'. At first glance, their collection seems very comprehensive. I'm looking forward to giving them my business as an avid book reader.

I have been a member of Librarywala.com  since 2009.  Their website is easy to access and one can browse for books, select the books one wants to read and put them in a queue. If the book is available they deliver it on the spot.

You can read the books at your leisure and when you have finished you go online  for pick up and delivery of the books.

They have given me excellent service and are always prompt with their pick up and delivery of books. I have never had any complaints regarding their service and they are always available when you need them.

I also like their selection of books.

This is the worst ever library I have come across. Please if anyone is thinking of joining it, don't do so and save your money. These Librarywala people know nothing and will never ever be able to provide you a decent book that you had like to read. They will just loot you of your money and harass you by their replies on your queries. I haven't received a single book I requested for in the 4-5 months of my membership.

Believe me, its an utter waste of money and time.
