The fort is situated in the heart of city.

Just in front of fort is public park, soor sagar is also close. So you will have options to have glance to all popular places prior to or after  visit to the fort.

There is " ganesh ji" temple just at the entry of the fort, very unusual, you will find Ganesh ji in standing posture.

The fort has huge door, after passage there are separate ticket counters for Indian and foreign tourists.

The fort is constructed with, traditional Rajputana Architecture. If you have visited Mehrangarh fort

( Jodhpur, Rajasthan)

Some part of it may look like very familiar, but this fort is smaller than Mehrangarh fort and its not that high either,

the canons displayed here are smaller and fewer .

Yet, layout of fort is very scientifically designed, weather and safety were very significant features.

You can have view of city from upper part of the fort.

You will find many parts of the fort locked.

There are stuffed leopards.

Interestingly, the museum is part of the fort and you can see oldest aircraft here apart from many other historical antiques.

You will have great time.

Bikaner is a great place in rajasthan with many of the attractive places to visit but no comparison with junagarh fort. Very impressive and  and very interesting place to visit. A beautiful and well maintained fort.

Actually the complete fort is so beautiful large rooms with excellent architecture, amazing stone carving and beautiful paintings on the wall but the major attraction are phul mahal, anup mahal, badal mahal and chandra mahal they are extremely beautiful words will be less to describe how beautifully they have been constructed and more then that in spite of so many years they are maintained maintained so well.

Take a guide along with you to explore this place more .

This is one of the place in rajasthan which you cannot afford to miss.

Junagarh fort is located in the heart of the city at bikaner in rajasthan. I visited bikaner many times, it is nice and clean city.

The city is also famous for namkins as all we knows about bilaneri bhujia. Junagarh fort is one of the old forts housing the palaces of the maharaja's since several years.

The fort is built under the supervision of karan chand, the prime minister of raja rai singh. The fort is clean and well maintained. Jodha akbar and many other movies have been shot there.

The junagarh fort is an unassailable fort of rajasthan, a fort that has never been conquered, though it has been attacked many times. Junagarh fort is an impressive monument of rajasthan, with huge towers and battlements for defence.  It has some beautiful palaces within.

These palaces made in sandstone and marble, that makes a picturesque ensemble of courtyards, balconies, kiosks and windows dotted all over the structure. A measure  features of fort is that the superb quality of the stone carving it rivals the best anywhere in the world many of the inner rooms of the palaces are beautifully decorated and painted in traditional style.

The fort has two important gates which is known as surajpol and Daulatpol. fort contains 37 palaces and many temples and pavilions. The palaces like badal mahal, anup mahal, chandra mahal, phool mahal and karan mahal etc. It's gigantic columns, imposing arches and graceful scenes, minarets all makes us to visit this place again. Accommodation was good and safety there. I would say this is an Awesome fort, you must visit.

I have visited Bikaner just once, it was a nice city, little crowd in the local markets but good city, clean city. There are few places thats comes in must visit list for traveler.

Junagarh fort is one of the place in must visit list.  Junagarh fort is not located on High hill like other forts but in wide Thar desert, its very well maintained fort till now, and so impressive looks, must go there and explore our Rajasthani History. The Fort was built by King Rai Singh in 1587.

This exclusive fort has two Gates= Daulatpol [daulat - money/ Pol - Gate] and Suryapol [ Surya - Sun/Pol - Gate]

Inside Fort there you will find large Darbaar hall [public hall] courtyards, passages, designer windows, designer Jharokhas, Paintings on walls. Chandra Mahal, Phool Mahal, a museum of what Kings wear, their heavy costumes, their jewellery, and many more galleries.

You can hire a guide to explore and he will explain everything. Just 50 rupees per person.

I love my trip to  BIKANER this year as I am able to visit the famous PRIDE OF INDIA -JUNAGARH FORT -in BIKANER.

We visited palaces, temples and gardens inside the fort and went into the timeline in the glorious past of India, my family and me are mesmerized with the architectural styles in the palaces .many manuscripts in sanskrit and persian are available in the museum that is arranged in the palaces .the miniature paintings, ceramic works can been with their rich color and glamour.

Marble tiles in the temples in the fort are the special attractions to the visitors. Lot of exchequer is being earned by the tourist guides and the state govt .I love the trip. Accomadation is well in the city. Foreign tourists can feel safe
