Sanyo 43inch Tv was bought in May 2020 and within two years, TV power button does not work as it blinks green&red. Raised complaint on Mar 21st 2022 and the technician visited the place on Mar 22nd and informed the Motherboard to be replaced that costs 7000 INR. Eventually, the part was ordered and the technician visited again on 27th to replace the part but this time though the TV is on the TV display was not there.
He suggested the new software to be loaded and reassigned the ticket to a different team. I asked for ETA and he said the person who visits will confirm as he is not aware of SW to be installed. I asked him why the replacement product did not go through the basic check to ensure it works fine post-installation? He does not have the answer. I said ok and waited for the next team.
Next technician visited on 28th and he tried installing SW but still there is no display. After some checks, he said the software he has does not work and have to take the old motherboard, TV & it’s remote to the service center to fix. That's it.
After a couple of days and repeated follow-ups, I got to know the service center does not have the right SW and they don’t know whether the replaced product is in working condition so they ordered for another replacement product.
Here are the problems faced by me and it’s such a disappointing service so far from Sanyo.
- Replacement Products they have seems to not tested as in my case have not worked even after the replacement.
- Poor customer Service - Technician and ASM says they will come back with an update but will never come back until we follow up.
- No standby TV provided in spite of issue not fixed over two weeks.
- There is no ETA on the service. Technician and ASM inform that the replacement product (second time) has been ordered but does not have an ETA on when the product will arrive and the fix be complete. Such a poor procurement process. As my issue is there for two weeks, they should do express shipping and fixing process.
- There is no proper response from the service center or have a basic courtesy in updating the customer who has been waiting for two weeks
All in all, I regret buying the Sanyo TV and it’s purely based on the above experience and also I expected the product will go for a good run of 5 years but it’s disappointing to see the problems so soon in spite of not much usage.
So not sure when will I get my TV back ??
