We had purchased a premium apartment in Pune & took the possession about 2 years back. However, after 6-7 months, damp patches were seen on walls. Builder persons informed that water must not have escaped from PoP before painting with lustre paint, so we waited for another 4-5 months but things were getting worse. First we called builders people who said they will look into issue as many are facing same problem (cheapo builders here), but did nothing. Finally decided to get everything done on our own & called Dr. Fixit on 1800 209 5504. My call was followed up promptly to check whether site visit was made, amount quoted etc. from Dr. Fixit Mumbai office. Finally, their concerned person in Pune, Mr. Sachin Ingle came alongwith the applicator. He saw the things in flat, & gave suggestion of injection of chemicals in one place while grooving for utility terrace attached to kitchen. It was told that the fixit only provides material & not persons/applicators. When quality issue was raised, Mr. Sachin said that he will inspect the premises once it is done & see whether proper mixture & quality was used to do the work. We agreed upon this assurance. A call was also received from their Mumbai office. Everything went smoothly till here. Now here the story starts - We were informed that they will need 2 days to finish work, but they did everything in just 1 day, a bit shabbily especially grooving. They said it will go after few days, but didn't. The seepage problem continued even after waiting for few weeks and Mr. Sachin Ingle never bothered to see how the work was done despite continuous follow up. The lame excuse of his was either he is out of station or in meeting. Called up on their helpline no. 1800 209 5504 multiple times & sent them emails stating these problems, but all in vain. Not a single email was replied & call centre chaps only say, " We apologise for inconvenience & will look into this matter.....". Fed up with this, started scouting for waterproofing cos back from scratch. Finally, through my friend's reference, got a good water proofing agency whose owner (civil engineer with over 20 yrs experience) visited the place before & after work was done, inspected it well & I must say the service, quality of workmanship was really good. Had this been done before when I called Dr. Fixit guys, by now some furniture would have been saved & repainting would have also completed. Don't go for Dr. Fixit waterproofing company, their service is pathetic & they won't bother to sort out issue even after full payment is made. I wasted about Rs.10,000/- on them, but because of their pathetic service, I have lost much more in furniture loss, & the wall-papers & texture paint is all gone, not to forget all the headache & waste of time during this.
