What causes a bike to shut down while riding??

There where so many possibility for shut down your bike while riding. May be Carburetor clogged ,Faulty Air fuel ratio, Contaminated fuel- water entered fuel tank, CDI unit issue, Fuel vapor lock - happens if your bike stays out in the Sun for a while.
