It has been a very satisfying and exciting month!I love talking and when there is no one to listen,I put my thoughts down on paper!I came across a mail from mouthshut.com in my inbox.I opened it and saw they were willing to reward us generously for writing reviews,blogs etc.Since most of my writing is on dance and music matters in reputed cultural journals,I never did have an outlet for funny anecdotes.So decided I would write for mouthshut and enjoy myself!The first blog was on my pet kitten Sheru,who vanished a year after endearing herself to all of us.It came so naturally and without an effort!It also helped take away the huge boulder of grief I was still carrying!I It became a habit,to sit up in the wee hours-at 1 am or 2 am after all my household chores, typing out my blogs furiously on my keyboard! It was a big surprise to find,in my mail box one morning,posts from mouthshut.com .It was lovely to see some congratulatory messages and some ' likes' routed through the official channel!Only after reading the comments I realised Sheru was declared a 'Featured Blog' and that I had some financial reward for it too!That really made my day!After that 3 more blogs of mine got the same coveted status Total strangers wrote in saying they liked it. A couple of them are ready with their congratulations the minute my blog becomes a FB !So much camaraderie in the mouthshut family!.It makes me happy that my writing has been rewarded and that is motivation enough for me now,to put aside all my work and pen this Thank You for the panel of mouthshut.com which painstakingly reads through countless blogs before deciding on a winner. Thank you for motivating me to keep at it despite my hectic schedule.You are doing yeoman service to the people.If more and more took to writing,there would be less tension,strife,chaos around.It is an idle mind which is a devil's workshop!Keep the mind active ,write blogs,reviews,you not only keep out of trouble,have no time to gossip,but also make a lot of friends.and some money in the bargain!Thank you mouthshut.com for giving us this lovely platform to air our views,vent our frustrations or simply enjoy life,a day at a time!
