Teen Varsh

Ace Hindi litterateur - Bhagvati Charan Varma has written a good (and controversial) Hindi novel - Teen Varsh (three years) which I like very much. However I have kept the title of this post as such because today I have completed Teen Varsh (three years) on this site which has given me a lot and this post is just an expression of gratitude towards the site and all of my friends here whom I am indebted to forever. The love, support and encouragement that I have got from my friends here (in addition to the creative satisfaction obtained through writing) is invaluable for me.

I stumbled upon this site by sheer accident on 05.12.2009 and it fascinated me so much that I immediately became a member and kept on reading different reviews and blog posts for a couple of months. On 03.02.2010, I decided to start writing myself and the review of an old classic Hindi movie - Kati Patang became my first contribution to the site. Since then I have posted 301 reviews here. Including this post, 61 blog posts are also there. I have uploaded more than 250 photos also.

MS gave me a platform to express my creativity. Being a movie buff and fond of reading books, I have regularly posted reviews on movies (mainly Hindi movies) and books. My love for film-music has led me to write several song-based reviews too. I got noticed by the seasoned members of the site very soon and their ratings and comments have kept me going. Today three years are complete.

I convey my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to MS and my MSian friends because being ungrateful is the biggest sin for me. I am grateful and will be grateful for the rest of my life.

I am fortunate enough to meet several esteeemed MSians in person including @bkaks @raj_onlyone @maaz_nawaz @deepak27 @derebail2008 @javeedahmedm @GRuchirG @vijaymb @chalojai @viratbond and @tom3357

I have had telephonic communication with @hermit @bebylon @opvarma123 @ajeet15 @fenil_seta @suketu @kdrocks @shalu.d @geeta1963 @desigal @vv_85 @rudrakshha @prasu.sreeju @cyrilsunil @shweta.chatterjee @siddhartth @avishek82 @pranay22 @amiqu @suraaz @consumer_1 @sagar_tony2012 @rajeshparashar4 @Rajesh.Sinha @vmshut and @jasvinderknigam

I have chatted on FB with @angel_babe55 @astrofreak1234 @sydbarett @cattie @sayanti.das @sidz_b @ajay_1977 @benross @sharadx152 and @vishisinha E-mail communication also takes place with some MSian friends from time to time.

In addition to the above, I express my heartfelt thanks to @deepa.s @Toothless @paulsb02 @srnair @desprado @rup_007 @krishom @confusedsoul @nrpanchal @jains24 @anshumanmaini @desiprincess @sg21 @s_rajesh @bikash_4297 @cyrax @digimaniacs @reemasolanki @aarini @dsaumis @chi_239 @sage1947 @avazone @aydeeks @vaibhavi990 @candyfloss @rashmi.sinha @ciddharth @goral_1988 @EarnesTaster @azamkhan_vastav @nidhinpp @ashwini_poojari @rjdsilva @nimisha23377 @Dil5n @namrata98 @aditiavalkar etc. also for their everpresent support. I also feel grateful to late Sasikumar Menon (Iamindiamenon).

Many MS members have left MS or do not visit the site the way they used to do in the past but I always miss them and wish that they come back (or at least visit the site once in a blue moon). Such members include @indian1969 @dams_khan @rainbow @kiran5548 @vsdeepthi @see_ani @odhananjay @sandeep_kmr @sandeep400 @pooja_paliwal63 @faerie @eagleeyes @eager2xpress @noviceatwork @mymelody @mywaymyandaz @sharukhbamboat @nikil2shetty @mirandaviola @kwalimbe @boyet etc.

I also miss my Guru in writing movie reviews, i.e., Aruna Thyagarajan (@moviezombie) very much who seems to have lost in the crowd of the world and nothing is known about her for more than a year.

Without the relentless support and inspiration of my virtual friends here, it would have been impossible for me to write more than 300 reviews. I am overwhelmed by this fact that my friends like @cattie and @angel_babe55 wrote poems on my birthday and @sydbarett wrote a blog on me when I completed 200 reviews here. Members like @GRuchirG @tom3357 @raj_onlyone @bkaks @chalojai etc. took the pain of coming all along to my residence at Hyderabad just to meet me. This gesture of theirs effortlessly won my heart. That love is the revitalizing medicine for me which energizes me to keep going when I am low in spirits and start feeling something like aversion from writing here.

MS is blessed to have several talented members some of whom are entitled to be called true geniuses. I have learnt a lot from them and will continue to do so. I firmly believe that learning is a process which should never be allowed to stop at any time in a person's life because even the best can be improved. Man lives and learns. So let me continue to learn as long as I live.

No words can be sufficient to express my gratitude-filled emotions towards my MSian friends. I end my post with a song from an old black and white movie - Dosti (1964) - Koi Jab Raah Na Paaye, Mere Sang Aaye, Ki Pag Pag Deep Jalaaye, Meri Dosti Mera Pyar, Meri Dosti Mera Pyar ...
