Today the world is technologically obsessed. If you take a close look each and every one be it in a bus, car, airport scrolling, busy typing, talking etc. We have improved in communication and utilizing the technology for more and more communication. But know body knows what he is communicating, Most of them will be on phone speaking ! Many a times I wonder what is there to speak so much ! Elections are over, exams are starting but speaking on phone, messaging keeps on going !
Today Face book has become more vital part of youngsters and youth not because we need to be in touch, but we are more interested in knowing what others are into..and more curious on the status update. Many time I wonder – what has made people to like the status or comment on the status. Many parents do have a face book account, not to connect with their old classmates & friends - but to keep an eagle eye on their children’s, friends and their activity. The thought that comes to my mind is the mind has corrupted by the thought of doubt ! Today we don’t understand trust. Trust is the most important factor that builds relationships. Earlier business deals would take-up just on a word & deal would be completed. Today we doubt on the integrity and we make risk assessments to mitigate – Many a times these unrealistic mitigation plan does not help at all.
In one of the networking site, one gentle man asked an question - how we can monitor the children activities and track them from home to school and they are safe. How advantage it would be to use SharePoint technology to achieve this? Ideas, comments and feedbacks are welcome.
Although we hear a lot of incidents of trafficking of kids, kidnapping cases etc, the point that comes to my mind - agree technology has developed - but is this technology is basically for tracking the kids ? If the parents won’t trust their kids ? then who can trust them ? Before they understand gets matured, we start doubting them and keeping safety as a reason we like to track & monitor them – but how – ONLINE.
Today parents are hipper sensitive to children’s needs - They try to provide the best, by giving them materialist needs thereby depriving them the learning experience of patience ! More and more youngsters are becoming frustrated by hearing the work "No". Then is the technology helpful in this?
Earlier if children were late from school, parents would wait and then turn to friends. Today if a child is late by 4 minutes, he receives an call asking where he is and what he is doing !
There is no time to play ! Every day study & carry a huge load on the back as a donkey !!

Technology is good and required, but not to track and frustrate ! but to have fun.
