Meanwhile I wanted to write on love since very long time, and I am not expert on writing on this subject. What is love, a brooding question, has many definitions and many explanations, argument and of course films and shayaris. Now I will share with some of the experiences and I personally felt that how powerful this emotion or word called Love.
Once long back I was fleeting on a road and I see a huge crowd on the road, very huge crowd, there was a police station on the road and many of police man were strolling on road. They have put a barricade on road. I enquired to a person that what happened, why there is such a huge crowd. What he told me was a stunning story. I completely got blanked and stunned, he said that there is a locality nearby and that is a slum, and there lived a boy and girl, both are deeply in love, both belonged to different caste, different background, and who knows different religion, different economic conditions and many different things. So they were in love and their family opposed and they were not allowed to meet and today they killed themselves by hanging them up. And I shivered and I stunned, and I got feared and that day I realised that love is such a thing for that people can even die, they can even sacrifices their life.
The second incidence when I was in college, there was a girl much junior then us, one day she came to me and said that she like one of my close friend, who was very dashing and dynamic and handsome and studious. She said that she has tried to get his attention from a long time, but he ignored him, never notice her and never gives attention to her. And she said that she treats me as a friend, and It is my duty that I should help her to fix her a date, and suddenly between her monologue she start crying and crying uncontrollably and said she would get mad had she not able to get attention of that boy, And I was surprised and I was genuinely surprised and that day I realised that people even cry in love otherwise I always believe that people cry in only two situations, either when their pockets are empty or their stomach is empty.
There is a long list, and before finishing this post I would like to mention another one without that this post will be incomplete. Once I visited a friend’s house in Kota Rajasthan, and in my friend I met his younger brother. By seeing him it looks like he has not been bathed for a months, yellow teeth, unshaved face, and dirty cloths totally majnu and ashiq kind of character. Later on at night I heard his story that he has a secret infatuation to a girl who lived in neighbour, so bunked his studies regularly and he got failed and girl said that she cannot meet with a person who his not able to pass his studies, so he got distressed, and he cannot sleep and shave and bath and he is of no use. So that day I realised that people stop bathing after failing in love.
And I remember the famous line of a film song.
Raaton se bhi lambe yeh pyar ke kisse
Aasiq sunatein hain jafayen yaar ke kisse.
