Pot Holes: Mumbai Roads

By: ChaoticSoul | Posted Aug 04, 2013 | General | 590 Views

“…And here I bump again onto the seat of my company cab. Oops one more to come. Ahh! Yes finally the last one. Oh no! More bumps to go!” these are the words that play in the background of my mind while I am travelling on my way to work. I am from Mumbai as many of you might know. Well Mumbai is very famous for Vada Pav, Local Trains and the Traffic. I have given up Vada pavs and travelling in the trains are now-a-days a rare scene but traffic has become a part of my daily routine. I work 5 days a week (Like most of the people… LOL) and I get a company cab that picks me up from my house till office and then drops me back at home after my shift. It is the best thing that keeps me glued to my company apart from the li’l bit attractive salary and a few guys from here and there.

Why is Mumbai so well known for its Traffic? Well I couldn’t deny the fact that HOW GREAT OUR GOVERNMENT IS! And all the credit goes to them. It is just because of them that we have such brilliant roads in Mumbai that no vehicle can be spared of the pot holes. And yes the first dialogue in this blog is totally in my mind because of all the great pot holes that I have to go through in the whole One and a Half Hour journey. Actually it extends the One and a Half Hour because of the pot holes and traffics. We have this pathetic traffic jams because of these amazing pot holes. And if you have a bad day like I have one everyday while going to work. I get these headaches everyday when I leave my house and these potholes are just not doing any good to me. This increases my headaches and makes me more irritating. The other day I was stuck in traffic near Oberoi Mall, Goregaon for almost an hour. Isn’t that too much torture?

The Government present or in the future is going to do nothing good because once they get the power they start misusing it and that is the only problem in our country. We select a Government though we know they are going to be NO GOOD! But we still elect them and appoint them and pay them the fat salary with our hard earned money. Have we ever thought of stepping into the Politics and try to change the country? I have. I have always wanted to be the social worker and then a politician not for the money (obviously) but I think what we need is YOUTH (not like the ones we have now) actually the current youth in the SYSTEM are USELESS and some are not even Indian! You all know where am I pointing to, don’t you’ll?

So if the Government has no time FOR THE PEOPLE and for the betterment of the COUNTRY, how can we get proper roads? Well there is no way to get proper roads and traffic free Mumbai as long as we have POLITICIANS in the SYSTEM! We need LEADERS. There is a gap between the two. HUGE Difference!

Well I am so not sure when will I be in the Parliament or be the LEADER (if ever). But Road problems are increasing day by day. If any BMC official is reading this on Mouthshut or anywhere in the NET! Please take this as an appeal and please provide walk able and drivable roads in Mumbai!!!
