Christmas is a festival of Gifts and Happiness which we expect from Santa Claus, especially children. Like every child I also expect some Gifts from Santa every year. I used to go to Church on every Christmas from last 5 years to light candles and to eat pastries & chocolates. But this time I couldn’t go. So I thought to do something different this time. Something for other children which can bring a Smile on their cute faces.
This time I thought to be Santa for the children who don’t expect anything from Santa as a Gift or they don’t know anything about Santa. For them it was like any other normal day. There was nothing special for them on Christmas day. No Gifts..No Chocolates..No Celebration..and even No Wishes!!!
After spending my whole day in the office when I reached to my room, I had candles in my hands which I wanted to light in Church. But as I said I couldn’t go so I wanted to use them in the best possible way. On the way to my room I had seen a family that was living in a house which had only one and very small room. When I passed their house I decided to give those candles to them. They also had children in their family so I also purchased some chocolates for them.
The moment I entered the place those children ran and came to me with such a joy that I can’t explain. That moment filled me with happiness and satisfaction which I can’t describe in words. Those people were sitting in the dark when I went there because they didn’t have access to electricity. I tried to help them with a simple gesture by giving them candles to lighten their house and the chocolates to children.
I know that I hadn’t done so much for them but I did whatever I could have done. That moment I realized that I became Santa Claus for them. It brought a SMILE on their faces whether it was only for some moments but I was happy internally because giving a Smile to someone you don’t know is a great achievement in itself. I was happy because I brought happiness to their family.
That was my Best CHRISTMAS day ever. I wish to GOD that every day I spend and every action I take should be to bring smile to those who deserve it the most.
