MIND, well this particular thing is actually full of so many secrets that even you cannot unlock them, its that collection or treasure of thoughts that what can come when OR what will appear out of blue, even you don't know. So, lets pick up one simple topic from this mystery of MIND and lets discuss it here.
DEPRESSION & NEGATIVE THOUGHTS
WHAT IS IT?
Well did anyone of you know what is depression or what are negative thoughts, well of course you all know what are they, but before explaining further, let me ask you just 1 question that at any point of time did you feel depressed, even for a moment, or if not, did your mind get clogged with negative thoughts, even for a while. Well, personally I think that all of you who all are reading my post passed through any of these states at any point of time of your life, and these particular state of mind certainly hindered your thought process. Lets take an example, you wanted to do something, but suddenly some negative thought appears in your mind, out of blue, just like that. You certainly don't know why it appears in the first place, but something clicked in your mind in absence of you and which started the flow of this negative energy in your mind. And once it will start, all hell breaks loose, and its become difficult for you to stop this overflow of thoughts. And that's when come depression, a collection of negative & uncontrollable thoughts.
WHY IS IT?
Lets take an example, you are driving a car, and the surroundings are good, nice weather, a you're driving in the mountains when there is a little cold out there with a little, you're enjoying actually, you're appreciating your environment, but then suddenly you hit someones car or someone hit at your car. And then started an argument. Even if you come out of it, and resume your journey, that argument still lingers in your mind, you become careful, and however pleasant the weather will be, you stop enjoying it as you were doing earlier. Similarly, a positive thought is what easy-going and easy-happening event on your mind, it is there but you don't feel its pressure, since you are enjoying it. But negative thoughts are full of negative energy, and mind it, when the negative thoughts arrives it stays there, and for a very long time, it will sap your energy out of your body, and you started thinking WHAT IF? types of questions.
REASONS?
It could be anything, you may have taken a loan, you're not able to arrange for EMIs, or you're about to become a father / mother, but you don't know how you'll raise your child, having just about enough money. So these could be some of the reasons. But if you ask me, the most dangerous reason is NOTHING. See, whatever will happen, is going to happen, but when you start thinking WHAT IF?, that makes it more dangerous or difficult thing. One guy who is rich or not, if his mind is positive, he will not get perished in the storm of IFs, but if you start thinking negative, even you're able to cope up your situation, you may fail. So the most basic reason or the base of negative thinking is NOTHING, just an illusion of WHAT IF?
SO WHAT YOU SHOULD DO?
Well the answer to this simple yet complicated question is DO NOTHING! Yes, your negative thoughts are came out of NOTHING so you should actually do NOTHING to get rid of them, its as simple as that! What I meant to say is this, if you fight with your brain, you are actually thinking that you can fight your brain, and you are trying to defeat it by your alter-mind's positive scenarios, whereas your mind is already thinking negative, So there's a wrestling match going on between the negative and curing positive thing. But where this wrestle is happening - IN YOUR MIND. So lets say there is a test match which will be played over 5 days in a stadium, what happens to the pitch on the 5th day or in the 4th innings, obviously it will get deteriorate due to constant playing. Similarly you're actually deteriorating your mind by wrestling with your negative thoughts.
And you know what, your negative thoughts are originating from you yourself, so ideally it is you who are fueling them, its like you'r the culprit putting petrol in fire. What will happen if you don't put any combustible substance in the fire, or if you stop oxygen, the fire will automatically stop. Similarly, to fight negative thoughts and to remove them from your mind is actually not to fight with them, but just acknowledge, that yes there is a negative thought in my mind, and it is simply happening. You surrender yourself to your mind, and say, OKAY DO WHATEVER YOU WANT TO DO, I DON'T CARE, it will for sometime sap up all your energy, your head will feel heavy, but after some point of time, it will stop, since the fuel to light up the fire(i.e.You) is no more there, it got exhausted, since you're simple listening to negative thoughts, acknowledging them and saying it, "Chal bhaad mein ja", you keep saying that, acknowledge them and pass them, answer them if they want, and then just pass it. It will come back for sure to hit you again, but this time with less intensity, and by regular ignorance it stopped coming altogether, and automatically you will start feeling fresh, your headache will disappear, and you feel light, and at that moment either sit relax or start thinking some good incidents of your life to show THENGA to the negative thoughts, see, you're nothing without me. YOU HAVE WON.
