The nature’s fury in Uttarchal is really devastating. It is debatable whether it was disaster with was natures or manmade. Whatever happened is really bad and my sympathy is with the families who lost their loved ones. The natures furry is same. It doesn’t mind whether it is India or rest of the world. The Europe was under water in the same period of June. The fire at Indonesia’s forest had made life miserable in Honkong & Singapore. Every year there is hurricanes hit the US. The Governments, NGO and locals try their best and overcome the natures furry.
The news papers and the online media carried out the reports of the devastation caused by the floods. From the day of the terrific disaster at the uttarakhand, the Indian media started on debate on what was the cause and who needs to take the responsibility. Surfing any channel will show only the bad pictures and bad happenings. This actually make one watching the show bugged out. One can understand the reality and imagine the situation, however propagating the bad things will not help.
During the Hurricane which hit US, and people were suffering. The media did not spread negativity. During the recent bomb-blast at US marathon, the media acted responsible.
I was watching an program in TV, and I noticed an 30 minutes program where in the anchor of the show was deliberating why this happened. It went on the show that because the statue at the temple town was shifted, the God got angry and hence this furry. I could not digest this ? Is this making people aware or scaring the people or spreading superstious belief among people. God can only answer.
Let God bless & appreciation our the Armed Forces, with their selfless attitude try to help the victims of any calamity and save lives.
Bottom-line
The media should act in a responsible manner. They are the eyes which brings matters to the public at the same time they should help to rebuild confidence and welfare. The debate should have actions where in media would follow-up and act upon rather then just look for TRP ratings.
At the end it is we who choose a Govt and the saddest part is innocent lives are gone and many with power & money survive and enjoY
