I received an invitation from my batch mate of my previous organization to attend the Bachelors party as he decided to tie a knot. Off course I think he is the last man from our batch to call it a day. Gone are the good old days, where invitations would be delivered through post or through personal visit. Today you are invited either through a phone call or through emails. Further they create an event and request to confirm. Perhaps this is good as one will be able to know who is going to attend and ensure some arrangements. The moment you create an event and publish it for confirmation, a series of Congratulations and best wishes messages will start coming from the well wishers. Some will keep updating on these messages even after years. It was worth observing our ex-MD pulling the legs. It was worth having fun obvious its wedding & celebration and Bachelors Party . Some messages where too philosophical, some funny, some blessings ...
However one of our beloved friend commented as “Welcome to Hell”. This was reality. is'nt It ??
Many friends liked this comment, but the thought that always comes to mind is Isn’t it true to be in “ Hell”
There are many reasons to believe that life after marriage is hell for both for bride & the groom. Today on an average both boy and girl marry between the age of 27 to 30. In all these years, approximately until 18+ the parents are there to completely support, provide empathy, sympathy at the same time correct in each and every path. Once employed they become independent and it’s our lives and lifestyle.
After Marriage, we are exposed to reality ! The independence & fun and funds gets priority. We are suddenly get the burden of Responsibility, which all these years was god advice to give to others. As the priorities gets changed, misunderstanding grows and life becomes hell. This experience of hell is common to both Gentlemen & Ladies. However since its dominance world, Men express it quite openly where as ladies to have displeasure but only exhibit to few.
My friend always keep murmuring “Marriage is something that we knowingly trying to committe suicide
Bottom-Line
“ I was born Intelligent, but education ruined me” ; similarly Hell is everywhere but respect, patience, sacrifice, compromise, forgiving & forgetting can overcome hell into Hail !
