Rant...

Many people (MSians) write reviews / posts in MS word or notepad etc, for purposes of editing and correction before the final post is posted on MS. Once such posts are posted, very, very often 2 consecutive words get concatenated leading to weird words where one has to play this guessing game as to where to put in the word break. Some examples from todays ROTD:

arecovering drug addict - is it 'are covering drug addict' or 'a recovering drug addict' :)

For a filmmakerit - what's this? 'for a film make rit'? or 'For a film maker it' or 'For a filmmaker it' - Ah got it! :)

Reading through such posts takes away the pleasure of the post, and the pleasure comes from deciphering what the words are. I guess this stems from a 'overzealous' filtering software that is supposed to remove extra spaces. Please, can the MS tech team do something about it?

Regards

OTEE.

PS: My own work-around - compose the DP/review on notepad, then remove the word wrap functionality and then cut and paste the stuff into the MS post text box.

Of course in notepad one loses rich text features (bold and italics).

PS2: that is not me in the accompanying image.

An aside: Delhi MSians - what are the public transport options between Gurgaon and Hotel Ashok, Chanakyapuri?
