The record for launching the most satellites(37) in one go was previously held by Russia. In a moment which will go down in history books of India, ISRO has broken the record by launching 104 satellites in a single mission
The PSLV( Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) carrying the 104 satellites was launched from the first launch pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota at 9.28am. The launch was PSLV's 39th mission and the heaviest till date, weighing about 320 tonnes at lift-off and standing tall at 44.4 meters
Out of the 104 satellites launched, only three of them belong to us and the remaining 101 belonged to foreign countries. They include one each from Kazakhstan, the UAE, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Israel and 96 from the US
PM Modi also congratulated ISRO after the satellites were launched saying "this remarkable feat has made India proud".
Truly, it is a proud moment for all of us(Indians)
